Understanding The Different Roles In 360Player

In 360Player there are several different types of accounts which have different capabilities and functions within an organisation. The type of account you will be using will depend on what your role is. This article will explain the different types of accounts and roles to clear to make it clear exactly which type of account you should be using.

Quick Overview

  • Payment admins have full access to settings, user management, and payment features.
  • Admins have access to settings and user management but only payment admins can access payment features.
  • The Coach/staff role can access features for coaching and communication but don't have access to user management or group settings.
  • Players have special accounts where they have access to player features.
  • Parents have accounts connected to player accounts. They can view schedules, videos, and communicate with coaches.

In Depth Look By Role

Payment Admin Role

Payment Administrators have full access to everything that goes on in a group. This includes management of the group settings, user management, content libraries, and more. In addition, payment administrators have access to 360Player's payment features to create products, send invoices, and collect money from club members.

Admin Role

Administrators have full access to everything that goes on in a group with the exception of payment management which can only be accessed from the payment admin role above. Administrators can manage group settings, users in the group, content libraries, and more. The admin role is commonly used by coaches, managers, and directors who need access to administrative features.

Within a club it's possible for a user to have an administrative role in one group while having a different role in another group. For example, a coach may have full administrative access of their team's group while not being an administrator at the club wide level. Generally, administrators have admin access for groups below them in the club structure but not above them. This article explains in more detail how admin rights within an organisation work

Coach/Staff Role

The coach/staff role has access to all coaching features just like admins, but don't have access to certain features like team settings and user management. This role is commonly used by coaches and staff members who need the ability to manage statistics, training content, and video content, but don't need to be in charge of managing the group as a whole. If a coach or staff member needs the ability to change team colors, logos, or manage users, then a current admin can promote a coach/staff account to an admin account within their user management settings.

Player Role

Player accounts are relatively straightforward to understand as players on the team will have player accounts. Player features are inherently different from coach/staff or administrative features. For example, players don't have access to the training library as typically only coaches are designing training sessions. Players on the other hand have access to individual development plans, goal setting, video, and more.

If a player is also a manager within the team, it's best that they have two accounts. One they can access as a player and one they can access to handle their managerial tasks with a different role.

Parent Role

Parent accounts are also straightforward as these accounts are connected to player accounts inside the platform. As a parent you can view the team calendar, team videos, chat with coaches, and more.

If a parent is also a manager within the team, it's best that they have two accounts. One they can access as a parent and one they can access to handle their managerial tasks with a different role.
