Creating a tournament takes you straight into the tournament workbench, where every part of the setup — teams, groups, playoff, and schedule — lives on its own tab. Nothing is visible to participants until you publish.
Start a tournament
Go to Tournaments in the navigation.
Click Create (or Create tournament if the list is empty).
Enter a name (at least 3 characters), an optional description, and a start and end date.
Click Create tournament.
You land directly in the workbench, with the tournament in Draft status. The sport is inherited from the group you created it in.
General
Set the title, description, and location, and pick a host group if you want the full match schedule to show in one group's calendar in addition to each participating team's own calendar.
Turn on Make publicly visible to publish a version of the tournament to your club's public website once it's active, and use Tournament page tabs to choose which tabs — Games, Playoffs, Groups, Participants, About — appear. This controls both the public page and the tabs shown inside 360Player.
Under Tournament format, choose Group stage + playoff, Group stage only, or Playoff only. The format locks once playoff games exist — delete them first if you need to change it.
Game details sets the sport-specific game format, plus how points are awarded for a win, draw, and loss. Turn on Do not count points for a tournament that shouldn't produce a league table — not available for tennis or padel, which don't use a points table.
Changes on this tab save automatically.
Resources
Add the fields this tournament will be played on — without at least one field, the schedule can't be generated. Fields must already exist as resources in 360Player; use Add fields to pick from your existing ones, or create a new one inline from the same modal.
Teams
Click Add teams to enroll participants. For team sports, add groups from In organisation or opponents from External, including creating a brand-new external opponent on the spot. For individual-player sports, you add players directly instead.
Groups
Only available for the group-stage formats. Choose Round robin or Double round robin — teams play each other once or twice — then either add groups one by one or click Generate groups to auto-distribute enrolled teams. Groups don't need to be the same size. Use Assign teams on a group to move teams in and out by hand.
Playoffs
Only available if the format includes a playoff. Set how many teams enter the bracket — any number works, and top seeds get a bye if it isn't a power of two — and whether to include a third-place match. For a playoff-only tournament this is locked to however many teams are enrolled; for a group-stage tournament you choose how many advance.
Click Add playoff once teams, and groups if applicable, are in place. Playoff settings lock once bracket games exist — delete them to change the setup — and lock entirely once the tournament is published.
Schedule
Generate group games with Generate matchups and bracket placeholder games with Generate playoff, then click Schedule matches to give them dates and times. Choose the stage — group or playoff — a date range and time zone, day-by-day time windows, how long each match slot should be including time between matches, how frequently to schedule rounds, and any dates to exclude. 360Player books games in parallel across your available fields automatically. You can also add or edit individual games by hand from this tab.
Publish
Click Publish in the workbench header once setup is complete — or, if you've left the workbench, use Publish tournament from the tournament's row in the Tournaments list. Publishing moves the tournament out of Draft and puts every match on the calendars of enrolled teams, and the host group if you set one. You can unpublish at any time to make further changes; existing data is kept and returns when you republish.
