What it is
Page layout is the main design template used across your subpages (every page except the Home Page).
It controls things like the page title section, background colors or images, content width, and the design of the sections below.
Set this up once to give your site a consistent look and make creating new pages faster, since they’ll automatically follow the same design.
As shown in the image below, the page layout mainly defines the page title section and the maximum width of the content on the page.
What to do:
Open any subpage on your site and review the template design we've built for you. Decide whether you want to keep it as-is or redesign it.
The house icon marks the page set as the home page. The other pages are set as subpages, as shown in the image below.
Keep the template as-is
No changes needed. When you want to create a new page later, duplicate any existing subpage and rename it — since your pages already share the same design, the new page will automatically match.
Redesign the page template
If you’d like to redesign the template, we recommend duplicating one of the existing subpages, renaming it, and making the necessary changes. Once the template is complete, you can duplicate it again to create a new page, then update the name, URL, and content as needed.
Tips
Keep your template page saved rather than deleting it by setting is a draft — you'll keep duplicating from it each time you add a new page.
Here's the recommended workflow for redesigning the page template:
Duplicate a subpage to create a page template and remove the content that's not going to be part of the template.
On this template page, make your design adjustments — for example the page title section, background colors or images, and other layout elements. The premade template, for example, includes an element for the title section created by 360Player. Read more about it in this article on 360 Elements.
If you'd like to remove it, either click the element and use the Delete shortcut or click the delete icon in the panel above. We recommend using Layers to get a better overview of the section structure, making it easier to select the section where you want to add your content.
To create a new page, once the design is complete, duplicate the template page and rename it.
Copy over any of the existing content that you'd like to keep from the old to the new page.
Repeat the previous step — always duplicating from the same saved template page — for every page you want to include.
Once all your pages are created, you can delete the original pages we set up for you.
