Tag a product with your accounting software's account number, and your invoice exports will include a column that sorts each payment line straight into your books.
How account numbers work
Most accounting software organizes income into numbered categories, often called account numbers. For example:
3010 — Membership fees
3020 — Training camp income
3030 — Equipment sales
The actual numbers depend on your chart of accounts — check with your accountant or your accounting software.
Tag your products
Open a product under Payments > Products.
Scroll to the Metadata section and click Add item.
In Key, type
Account Number. On later products, start typing and pick the same key from the suggestions so it doesn't drift. In Field, type the account number from your accounting software (for example,
3010).Click Save.
Repeat for your other products — same key, matching value for each accounting category.
Keys are matched by exact text, so a stray space or a different capitalization creates a separate column instead of joining the one you already have.
See it in the export
Go to Payments > Invoices, click Export, then choose an export type:
Itemized invoice export and Transaction export always add one column per metadata key you've used, named exactly like the key — for example, Account Number.
Gross invoice export adds the same columns too, but only if you tick Product metadata in the field list before clicking Continue.
Sort or filter by that column to total each accounting category, then copy the totals into your books or hand them to your accountant.
