Set up and use Tags

Build your tag library, control who can do what, and put tags to work

For background on how tags are structured and how they relate to your club's group hierarchy, see What are Tags? first.

Set up your tag library

Tag management lives in Settings → Tags, at both the club level and individual team/group level (depending on your permissions, see below).

To create a tag:

  1. Go to Settings → Tags.

  2. Click Add tag.

  3. Give it a name, and if it's a top-level (parent) tag, choose a color.

  4. If it belongs under an existing parent, select that parent; otherwise it becomes a new top-level tag.

From there, the tag tree supports a few ways to keep your library organized as it grows:

  • Editing: click the edit icon on any tag to rename it, change its color, or move it under a different parent.

  • Reordering: drag and drop tags to change their order, or drag a child tag onto a different parent to re-parent it.

  • Deleting: deleting a parent tag also removes its children, so you'll be asked to confirm and shown how many child tags will go with it.

Each tag row also shows how many times it's been used, so it's easy to see which tags are earning their place in the library. If you ever end up with two tags that mean the same thing, merge them instead of deleting one. See Migrate and merge your existing tags.

Control who can create and apply tags

Tags separates two permissions: creating tags (defining the library) and applying tags (using them on content).

Admins and coaches

Go to Settings → Tags → Manage group tag permissions to configure, for every group in your tree, whether it can only use tags from above it ("Enforce club library") or can also create its own ("Club library + create your own"). Toggling a group cascades that setting to its whole branch below, though each group can still be adjusted individually afterward.

Apply tags to training content and video clips

Tagging works the same way it always has from a coach's perspective: it's still optional, and you still apply tags when creating or editing a session, exercise, or video clip. The only thing that's changed is where the tags come from: instead of typing free text, you pick from your club's library. The picker groups tags under their parent as a section header. You can apply the parent tag itself for something broad, or one of its child tags for something more specific, and the picker only shows the tags your group is allowed to use. Add or remove tags any time you edit the content later.

Filter the Training Library by tags

Once content is tagged, the ten most-used tags in your library appear as quick-filter chips in the Training Library, and the full filter panel lets you filter by any tag. Selected tags show up as removable chips under the search bar, so it's clear at a glance what's filtered.

Share your tag library with linked clubs

If your club is part of a network of linked organizations, 360Player can enable tag sharing so a hub club's tags are visible (read-only, with an org badge) to linked sibling clubs, who can apply them but not edit them. This is set up per organization link rather than as a self-service toggle. Reach out to your 360Player contact if this applies to you.

View tag reports in Training Statistics

Tagged content feeds three tag-aware views in Training Statistics: a Training tab with usage tables and charts for exercises and tags, a Groups tab to compare tag usage between two groups, and a Players tab to compare two players (or a player against their group's average). All three respect the parent/child rollup described in What are Tags?.
