If your club has been using free-text tags, those tags won't show up automatically once Tags is turned on. Migrating them in is entirely self-serve, and safe to preview as many times as you like before committing.
Migrate your old tags
You'll see a prompt on the Tags settings page, in the Training Library, and on the Training Statistics page: "Don't see your tags? Migrate your old tags to the new tagging system." Clicking it opens a preview showing exactly what will happen:
Your old tags are cleaned up automatically (for example,
counter_attackbecomes "Counter attack") and grouped as children under a new "Migrated Tags" parent, so your existing library stays untouched and organized separately at first.If an old tag's name already matches a tag you've since created in your new library, it's merged into that tag instead of duplicated.
You'll see a usage count per tag, and a total across exercises, sessions, and clips.
From there you have two options:
Migrate tags: imports everything shown in the preview.
Start fresh: dismisses the prompt for good and leaves your old tags exactly as they were on old content, without importing them. You won't be able to undo this yourself once confirmed. If you change your mind later, reach out to your 360Player contact, since only we can reverse it from our side. Only choose it if you're intentionally leaving the old tags behind.
Migration never touches or deletes your original free-text tags. It only copies them into the new library, so it's safe and reversible on your side.
Clean up after migrating
After migrating, your imported tags all sit under one "Migrated Tags" parent, which is a good starting point, not a finished library. Two things to do next, both in Settings → Tags:
Re-parent the imported tags out of "Migrated Tags" into wherever they actually belong in your structure. Drag and drop a tag onto the right parent, or open its edit menu and choose a new parent from the dropdown.
Merge any near-duplicates that came over from years of free-text tagging, for example "Short pass," "Passing," and "Passes" might all need to become one tag.
How merging works
Merging isn't just for cleanup after migration. It works any time two tags in your library end up meaning the same thing.
In Settings → Tags, select two or more tags you want to combine.
Pick which one should survive. You'll see each option's name, color, parent, and usage count, with the most-used tag suggested by default.
Confirm. Every piece of content tagged with the other tags moves onto the survivor automatically, and the merged-away tags are deleted.
Merging can't be undone, so double-check your selection before confirming. Only tags you own and that don't have children can be merged in this first version; merge child tags individually if a parent has children you want to consolidate.
