Sections & Elements

Overview of how sections (page wrappers) and elements (widgets) work in the website editor

Every page on your site is built from sections (the wrappers that structure a page) and elements (the content you place inside those sections). We've pre-built sections and elements on every page for you — your first decision is simply whether to keep them as-is, or delete and replace them with your own.

We recommend following the same page-by-page order you used when you set your Page Structure earlier: for each page you kept (or duplicated from a template), go through and finalize its sections and elements one page at a time.

Tips

Click around and try different settings. Trial and error is the easiest way to learn what each design setting does.

Sections

What it is: A section is a wrapper that holds one or more elements. Building a page means creating sections, then adding elements inside each one — most of our template pages use one section, and some use two or more.

Tips:

Starting from a 360Player template section is faster than building from empty, since the styling is already consistent with the rest of your site.

What to do:

  1. Hover over an existing section to reveal the Add Section button.

  2. Choose Empty Section to start from a blank layout, Library to browse pre-designed sections including the 360Player sections or if you'd like to explore the function of creating a section using AI.

  3. In the library, we recommend the 360Player Template Library — these sections already match the spacing, styling, and pairings used across the rest of the site, so you can drop one in and simply replace its elements with your own content.

To find the library, after you've clicked on "+Add section", pick the "Designed" alternative, select "360Player" in the left panel, select a section and click "Save section.

  4. To reuse a section you already like, right-click it and choose Duplicate if you want to reuse it on the same page.

  5. Use copy and paste it if you want to use it on an additional page.

  6. Decide how many sections each page needs — most pages need just one or two to begin with.

Elements

What it is: Elements are the individual pieces of content — text, images, buttons, and other widgets — that live inside a section.

There're two types of elements:

  • Manual Elements - These elements are both built in elements from the CMS and elements that 360Player has provided. For these elements you add all the content manually in inside the widget.

  • 360Player App Elements - The elements marked with “(App)” are connected to the 360Player app. This means that the data comes directly from the app rather than being added manually.

The current elements are: Registrations, Groups, Calendar, Matches, Posts, and Contacts.

You can find more detailed information about each of them in this article about 360Player Elements.

What to do:

  1. Click the + in the middle of a section or click on "+Add" button on the left side to open the widget library.

  2. Scroll through the list and double-click (or click) a widget to add it. Alternatively, if you’ve accessed the library from the panel, drag the element into the section.

  3. Double-click any element on the page to open its settings. This gives you two panels:

    • Content settings (in the pop-up window) — the image, text, button link, and other content for that element.

    • Design settings (on the right-hand side) — the visual styling for that element.
