Note: Discount codes are not supported for Stripe-integrated clubs.

How to create a discount code

  1. Go to the Discounts section under the Payments category.

  2. Click on Create new discount.

  3. Set up the discount details:

    • Provide a title (e.g., Summer Sale) and a description (e.g., 10% off for new members).

    • Create the discount code that members will use (e.g., SUMMER10).

  4. Choose the discount type:

    • Decide if the discount should be a:

      • Percentage, such as 20% off.

      • Fixed amount, such as €50 off.

  5. Define how the discount is applied:

    • Decide whether the discount will apply to:

      • Only the first payment of a subscription.

      • Recurring payments, meaning it applies to every payment in the subscription.

      • A limited number of payments, where the discount applies to a specified number of payments.

  6. Set additional options for limited payment discounts:
If you choose to limit the number of payments, you have more configuration options:

    • For percentage discounts:

      • Specify the number of payments the code should apply to. For example:

        • If you select 3 payments and the discount is 10%, the member will receive a 10% discount on their first three payments only.

    • For fixed-amount discounts:

      • Decide how the discount amount is distributed:

        • Distributed across payments: The total discount amount is divided equally across the specified payments.

          • Example: A €100 discount applied to 5 payments would give €20 off per payment.

        • Applied in full to each payment: The discount amount is applied fully to each of the selected payments.

          • Example: A €20 discount applied to 5 payments would give €20 off for each payment, totaling €100 in discounts.

  7. Set a redemption limit (optional):

    • Define how many times the discount code can be used during checkouts. For example, if the limit is set to 50, only 50 members can use the discount.

How to use a discount code

Discount codes can be applied in two ways:

  • During checkout:

    • Members or customers can enter the code in the discount field when completing their payment.

  • In the invoicing flow:

    • Payment admins can select the discount code manually when creating an invoice, applying it to the customer’s billing details.

By setting up and using discount codes effectively, clubs can offer flexible payment incentives to their members, encouraging subscriptions and timely payments.
