A drawing is a diagram of an exercise on a pitch: players, cones, balls and arrows placed where you want them, saved with the exercise so anyone who opens it sees the shape rather than reading a paragraph about it. It can also animate, so a run or a rotation plays rather than being described.
This is the drawing tool in the training library. Video analysis has a separate one for annotating footage — see Create animations with the video analytics drawing tool.
Start a drawing
Create or edit an exercise in the training library and find the Drawings section — it is described as Create one or multiple drawings, and an exercise can hold several.
Click Create drawing.
The assets on the canvas come from your group's sport, so a hockey group gets a rink and hockey markers rather than a football pitch. You cannot mix them.
Build the shape
Pick a background, then drag assets onto it and position them. Nothing is saved until you save the drawing, so it is safe to rearrange.
Animate it
The editor has two tabs, Steps and Settings. On Steps, use Add step to add a frame, then move assets to where they should end up. Anything that exists in both steps travels between the two positions when the drawing plays, so a run needs two steps rather than an arrow. Each step shows how many objects it holds.
Save it and use it
Save the drawing and it attaches to the exercise. You can also set it as the exercise thumbnail, which is the fastest way to recognise an exercise in a long library list.
