Remove or block a user from a team

Remove a user from a team so they can rejoin with the group code, or block them so they cannot.

Removing a user takes them off the team's roster but lets them rejoin with the group code. Blocking goes further — the user cannot rejoin even if they have the code. Both actions are reversible. Neither one deletes the user's account or their historical data.

Remove vs. block vs. archive.

Remove takes the user off this team. They can rejoin using the group code or an email invite.

Block takes the user off the team and prevents them from rejoining — even with the group code.

Archive revokes the user's access to the entire organization, across every team. It is a separate action done from Management > Contacts. See How to archive a user.

Remove a user

  1. Go to Management > Organization and open the team.

  2. Find the user, click the three dots next to their name, and pick Remove.

  3. In the confirmation dialog, optionally check Remove from subgroups and Remove from future events. Both are unchecked by default.

  4. Confirm. The user is taken off the team but can rejoin later with the group code.

Block a user

  1. Go to Management > Organization and open the team.

  2. Find the user, click the three dots, and pick Block.

  3. Confirm. The user is removed from the team and cannot rejoin, even with the group code.

Unblock a user

Blocked users live in a separate tab inside the group's settings.

  1. Open the team and go to Settings > User management.

  2. Switch to the Banned tab to see the list of blocked users.

  3. Click the three dots next to the user and pick Remove. This lifts the block — the user can now rejoin the team using the group code or an invite.

What removal and blocking do not do

  • They do not delete the user's account or remove them from other teams.

  • They do not erase historical data — past attendance, payments, and messages stay on the team.

  • They do not affect a user's invoices or subscriptions, which are handled through Management > Payments.

To revoke access to the entire organization rather than a single team, archive the user instead. See How to archive a user.
